With over 25 years of experience in the design industry, specializing in Millwork and space planning, Melanie Taylor brings a unique perspective to real estate. While  raising three amazing daughters, Melanie’s career naturally evolved into real estate, where her deep knowledge of design and customer service has propelled her to the top of her field. Today, she is consistently ranked in the top 3% at her brokerage.

Melanie’s journey in real estate began with a focus on helping clients navigate the world of manufactured housing, land-lease communities, and development. Since 2017, she’s been dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions without compromising on quality or style. After spending eight years immersed in the culture and architecture of Paris, France, I developed a deep appreciation for beautiful homes and thoughtfully designed spaces. This passion led me to earn a degree in Interior Design from the Paris American Academy of Design, where I refined my eye for detail and creativity.

Returning to my home province of Nova Scotia, I found the perfect way to blend my design expertise with my love of helping people - through a career in real estate. I’m proud to call Dartmouth home, where I live with my husband, a retired military veteran. My journey in real estate began in the late 1980s, but with young children, I took a rewarding detour and spent 37 years as a figure skating coach. In 2019, I returned to real estate, bringing the same dedication and attention to detail that guided me throughout my coaching career.

What I love most about real estate is the balance of strategy and connection- I also enjoy the administrative side, but also helping people find their perfect home. Guiding clients through every step, from the first showing to closing day, is what drives my passion. Social Media Manager

As the Social Media Manager for First Choice Home Selling Team, I use strategy, creativity, and market insight to showcase our listings and connect with clients in meaningful ways. Being Melanie’s daughter, real estate is a big part of my life, and I’m excited to bring that experience full circle as I step into sales myself.

My career so far has given me a strong foundation in sales, marketing, and business development. I’ve worked in the automotive industry, first as a Sales Professional and later as a Finance Manager, gaining valuable experience in negotiation, customer service, and high-value transactions. I also run my own business, Infinite Element Applications; helping other businesses grow their operations.

Beyond real estate and business, I’m also a passionate artist, creating detailed, storytelling-driven paintings that reflect my love for design, nature and creativity. This artistic eye helps me market homes and make content with authenticity and impact.

With a strong instinct for negotiation, a drive for success, and a deep commitment to helping clients find the right opportunities, I look forward to growing with the team and making a lasting impact in both real estate and the communities we serve.
